African Revolutionary Writers
Comrades, as your VC, I recently asked if you had any preference, now that our course on Philosophy and Religion is complete, between “The Classics” and “African Revolutionaries”, for the next course. The reply I got was: African Revolutionaries.
This is going to be a brand new ten-part course, so I am going to need some help. I have listed some African and a few “diaspora” revolutionary writers, above. I need more such names. I have suitable CU texts from some of the listed ones, but for the majority I do not have texts yet. So I need help with getting suitable texts.
Suitable means up to around 6,000 words (chapter length) but ideally nearer 2,000 words, or approximately the length of one of our General Secretary’s articles for Umsebenzi Online. Then, it must provide a clear topic for discussion, or plural topics.
Please reply to the Communist University, YCL or Johannnesburg Central lists with your ideas and suggestions about the “African Revoutionaries” course, or by Comment on the CU blog.
